If you have received a statement or charge on your credit card from TIP Systems it is because you accepted collect calls from a private phone system in a jail, prison, or public building have been accepted at your telephone number. Someone at your number pressed the acceptance key on your telephone to accept a collect call. You are responsible for these charges, payable to the payphone service provider.

 

Here are the Terms of Service that were read to you and accepted by you before you agreed to accept charges for the collect call.

 

"Before we can accept payment on this account you must accept the terms of the prepaid service. This service requires you pay a $19.99 account maintenance fee. This fee is charged each month your account is active and will be charged to your account on setup. There is also a $2.99 replenish fee for additional funding of your account.
